Netlink Software Turns 10 |
| |
|
| |
Bhopal, India (October 22, 2007) |
| |
|
| |
Netlink Software celebrates its 10th anniversary this year. What started as dream of two friends, Anurag Shrivastava and Dilip Dubey ten years back has today turned into a global IT and business process outsourcing company, employing over 1000 people worldwide. |
| |
|
| |
Anurag and Dilip met as engineering students in Bhopal in 1986, but then went their separate ways. Dilip enrolled at the University of Michigan to get his master’s degree in mechanical engineering and went on to work for GM. Anurag went to Clemson University to study human-computer interfacing and later joined the Paris-based Capgemini Group as an IT consultant. |
| |
|
| |
In 1997, they decided to reunite and form a company. “Everything was at risk. We left great jobs to start this company and there has been no looking back since.” remembers Shrivastava, Netlink President and CTO, speaking at a press conference organized by the company to Mark the occasion. Anurag and Dilip complemented each other very well through good and rough times and played various roles throughout. |
| |
|
| |
According to Shrivastava “Netlink has a strong global presence and an enviable local reputation in software training and development. Netlink has been able to establish itself as a complete project oriented company that offers end-to-end solutions to its clients. With a strong focus on immediate Business Results, its global vision and infrastructure related improvements, Netlink has been able to keep its growth rate constant despite a slowdown in the IT/ITeS industry. Netlink has added several big clients to its list of existing customers and has delivered complete projects to vertical industries like automotive and telecommunications in USA. Netlink has also re-structured its training program and started several courses that are completely job oriented and has succeeded in providing employment to many of its trainees.” |
| |
|
| |
Commenting on the growth prospects for IT in the state, Shrivastava feels that MP and Bhopal in specific has what it takes to be the next hot IT destination in India. “Bhopal being an educational hub carries a huge advantage compared to some of the other tier two cities in India. There are 30 engineering and more than hundred other colleges that substantiate the fact that it has enough supply to feed large IT corporations.” remarks Shrivastava. I will do everything I can to promote IT industry and culture in Madhya Pradesh as I strongly believe MP deserves to be a successful IT destination. |
| |
|
| |
Netlink is working hand in hand with the Government of MP for the development of IT in the state. For the soon to be held MP global investors meet in Indore, Netlink is bringing down an internationally renowned high powered delegation to attend the meet. “MP just needs to be presented in the right way to the international community. For promotion of IT a separate brand is needed that can highlight the advantage of MP to make it more attractive for international investment. The government has taken several key initiatives in the right direction and we are there to support them in any way possible |
